Second actual disposal of valueless records held at NAMRIA

NAMRIA conducted its second agency-wide disposal of valueless records at Fort Andres Bonifacio, Taguig City on 19 December 2016. A total of 10.3299 cubic meters of valueless records which weighed 3,689 kilos were collected and disposed. The disposal was spearheaded by the Geospatial Information Services Division (GISD) under the Geospatial Information Systems Management Branch (GISMB).
 
The National Archives of the Philippines (NAP) authorized the disposal of valueless records through the issuance of Authority to Dispose of Records, with control No. A-2016-694 and dated 09 November  2016. The items for disposal included damaged and outdated maps, charts, and other records that have reached their retention period.
 
The actual disposal activity was witnessed by NAP representative Mr. Joseph C. Tomaroy, Commission on Audit Examiner Ms. Donna May S. Namoc, and NAC focal person from GISD Ms. Cherrylin DV. Mendoza.  Also part of the activity were NAC co-vice-chairpersons Administrative Division Chief Ms. Concepcion A. Bringas and GISD Division Chief Ms. Ma. Romina dR. Pe Benito; and NAC representatives Ma. Nieves D. Arias and Michelle Ann M. Aguilar. The disposal of the valueless records was made through D’ Lacoste Enterprise, NAP’s official buyer.
