NAMRIA joins Run for Resilience

Twenty NAMRIA runners from three branches joined the “R4R: Run for Resilience” held at the Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo in Quezon City on 01 July 2017. The event was held in the observance of the National Disaster Resilience Month with the theme, “(4Ks) Kamalayan sa Kahandaan, Katumbas ay Kaligtasan.”  The observance of the National Disaster Resilience Month aims to promote disaster resilience in the country. The event was organized by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) of the Office of Civil Defense.

The NAMRIA runners were Geospatial Integration Division Chief Violeta A. Quiliza, Aurea O. Virtudazo, Cristina M. Montoya, Marlyn A. Tabuñar, Marife C. Valentino, Margie T. Parinas, Kathleen B. Javier, Cornelio S. Tolentino, Larry M. Serquiña, Noel C. Daus, Angelito P. Cinco, Markchiel R. Orgas, John Albert P. Baltazar, Joseph Jerwin B. Estrada, and Albertcassy C. Masinas of Resource Data Analysis Branch; Xenia R. Andres and Annalee A. Quiliza of Support Services Branch; and Gloria D. Resurreccion and this writer of Geospatial Information System Management Branch.

The NAMRIA runners participated in the five-kilometer race and the three-kilometer fun run. Over a thousand runners from the NDRRMC member agencies, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Bureau of Fire Protection, and NAMRIA participated in the event.
