2017 Women's Month Celebration @ NAMRIA

NAMRIA joined the nation in celebrating Women’s Month with this year's theme, “We make change work for women.” Highlights of the month long observance are activities that promote women empowerment, gender equality, and support mechanisms to help women in their everyday life.
Warm up exercises before the fun walk-run to kick-off the women's month celebration 
Fun walk-run on all Fridays of the month of March to promote health and
wellness among the employees 
Sessions for  Zumba enthusiasts
"Women inspiring other women" guest Ms. Mae Paner also known as "Juana Change"
speaks before the NAMRIA employees
Dr. Lalaine Aquino on the use of gender fair language
Staff of the Food and Nutrition Research Institute (FNRI) of Department of Science
and Technology (DOST), Filipiniana Bragas and Josefina Gonzales,
demonstrate  how to cook Kalabasa Flan and Kalabasa Siomai
FNRI resource person, Ms Gonzales also teaches personnel of the NAMRIA survey vessels "Meal Management and Food Safety Handling" held in Subic, Zambales
FNRI resource persons, Ms. Gonzales and Ms. Bragas also visit the survey vessels' galleys
Teaching women and men manage their finances in the Financial Management Seminar
conducted by Ms. Ida Sheng Jacob and Ms. Jasmin Lerio
Culminating the month-long celebration is the showing of the entries in the
Short Film competition by the different branches held at NAMRIA Lecture Hall.
The film competition's theme is "We Make Change for Women."

NAMRIA produces topographic maps that are used as base maps for other thematic maps like land cover, land condition, land classification, cadastral, etc. In addition, we have digital data of road maps available. This data comes from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
