NAMRIA Administrator, Usec. Peter N. Tiangco, PhD, officially welcomed the New Year 2020 with messages on positivity, openness, and excellence during the flag-raising ceremony cum New Year’s Call held at the NAMRIA covered court, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City, on 06 January 2020.

 

The Human Resource Management and Human Resource Development Sections of the Administrative Division hosted the event, with Mr. Edison R. Espinosa acting as emcee. Included in the program was the oath-taking, administered by the Administrator, of 50 newly-appointed and newly-promoted employees of the agency. An audio-visual presentation on NAMRIA's milestones and achievements in the past year was also presented to the officials and employees.

 

One of the highlights of the event was a New Year’s message of the Administrator, where he acknowledged each and everyone’s contributions, efforts, and sacrifices that helped the agency attain and surpass its set goals and objectives. He proudly mentioned how NAMRIA is recognized both locally and internationally for its outstanding practices and quality services. Furthermore, he expressed his appreciation to all employees who will retire this year, and reminded them that NAMRIA will always be a home for them.

 

For 2020, Administrator Tiangco envisions the agency to work continually towards a geospatially-empowered Philippines through the development, implementation, and management of projects that have greater impact and value to the community. He encouraged the employees to strive for excellence in saying, “Let the growing needs of our country serve as a reminder that our work here goes beyond the corners of this institution.”

 

The program concluded with the Administrator leading the traditional New Year’s greetings together with the agency’s senior officials led by Deputy Administrator Jose C. Cabanayan, Jr.; Deputy Administrator Efren P. Carandang; Chief of Staff Rowena E. Bongalos; Mapping and Geodesy Branch Director Ruel DM. Belen; Resource Data Analysis Branch Director Rijaldia N. Santos; Hydrography Branch Director Commander Antonio G. Valenzuela, Jr.; Geospatial Information System Management Branch Director John S. Fabic; and Support Services Branch Director Febrina E. Damaso. A photo-op of all NAMRIA officials and employees capped the event following the singing of the NAMRIA and DENR hymns.
